Spring has finally sprung, summer is in full swing and so are we. We have been planting, planting, and doing a little more planting. Asparagus season is coming to an end. We have pork back from the butcher. The chickens are starting to move to the nesting boxes. A rooster or two have found there way into our hen house even though we purchased all hens. We are excited to keep moving and grooving and seeing what we can bring to your table.
We have gotten our feet wet at our local farmers market in Mancelona and the store is coming along nicely. Fingers crossed next week we will be able to start posting open hours. We are just waiting for our licensing inspection. There is always a "t" to cross or an "i" to dot. This has definitely been a year of learning and growth, and will continue to be so.
We have fallen into the rhythms of the farm and are loving every new lesson learned and sore muscle earned. A kitten appeared and chose to become a part of our family and why not add one more thing. Yes we realize we are a little crazy and have no problem living in our crazy.
