From sharing what we’ve learned over the years, to lending and receiving a helping hand when in need, we know the importance of being in community and supporting one another. We are proud of our Northern Michigan community and all it has to offer. From hosting events and people, to doing business, we strive to support local businesses in everything we do.

Danu Hof is hosting a farm-to-table dinner to showcase the beauty and importance of building closer connections with our food, while at the same time promoting the diversity and abundance of the region’s local businesses.

The dinner will feature expertly crafted dishes from local chefs, using hyper-local ingredients. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit each chef, and learn about each of their creations.

This will be the 66th year of the Bass festival. In 2007 the community almost lost the festival but it meant so much to locals that they made sure that wouldn't happen again. Since then, the festival has been growing every year including more activities and family-friendly activities. Even though we’re relatively new to this community, we’ve come to understand just how important it is to have community events like this that bring everyone together. In the past, we’ve sponsored the corn hole tournament and we continue to look for ways to support and help the festival continue to grow.

Antim County fair.jpg

The Antrim County Fair is an annual community based event that focuses on local youth, 4-H local crafts and businesses. Growing up, the fair was the peak highlight of our summer and we want kids to continue to enjoy it every year. We sponsor this event because as the future of our small towns and communities, we believe it is important for youth to participate in events like this that enrich their lives.

As two chefs we know the healing powers a warm meal can provide. World Central Kitchen does that by sending cooks around the world to prepare homemade meals to those who need it most. Due to the recent conflict in Ukraine, they are currently serving hot, nourishing meals at eight border crossings across the country. They also have a presence in Poland, Moldova, Romania and Hungary.

We believe our small local community is important but we also recognize that we are a part of a larger global community as well. Our hope is that the changes we make locally create a ripple effect, amplifying the overall impact.

We stand with Ukraine and are continuously donating to WCK. If you are looking for a way to provide support, below is a link to the World Central Kitchen.
